State Physically Challenged Welfare Association President Srinivas unveiled the logo of Praja Cinema banner launched by producer-director Vijaya Varma at Sarathi Studios on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas says, The films that come from Praja Cinema banner should be in a position to enlighten the people of the lower strata on various issues. Vijaya Varma says, I will produce one or two films every year in an attempt to enlighten the people on various issues. I will take up subjects like education, employment, health, sports and other such issues and make films to educate the people. My films would not only be in Telugu language but also in Koya, Lambadi languages, which had no script so far on our banner. The first film on our banner would be launched in November. The film would provide entertainment and deliver a fitting message. Ghantadi Krishna, Taidala Bapu and others expressed their wishes that the films made by the banner would be big hits.

Dog's remuneration 1.80 lakhs!

Mee Sreyobhilashi with Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the lead is progressing briskly. Eashwar Reddy is directing the film under the Visu Films banner and C.C. Reddy is the producer. An Alsatian dog named Basha is key to the story and plays a prominent role in the film. The audience will appreciate his performance immensely, says the director. And for its work, the dogs master is being paid 1.80 lakhs as remuneration. The film will hit the screen in November.

Ileana to pair up with Tarun

Ileana, who reached one of the top places in Telugu in no time and became the heartthrob of Telugu audiences, is now pairing up with Tarun. The film is to be directed by Vijayabhaskar, presented by Bellamkonda Suresh and produced by Sakhamuri Panduranga Rao under the banner of Sri Lakshmidevi Productions. Another speciality of the film is that Jagapatibabu is playing a special role. Presenter Bellamkonda Suresh says, The film is being moulded in a way that it would attract youth and family audiences. Already, the combination of Vijayabhaskar and Tarun proved a hit with the success of Nuvve Kaavali. The latest film in their combination would go to sets at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on October 18. Abburi Ravi is providing script and dialogues for the flick.

Pellayindi Kaani ready for release on Oct 12

Pellayindi Kaani starring Naresh and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead&nbsp;has completed shooting and post-production formalities are going on at a brisk pace. The film is directed by E.V.V. Satyanarayana and produced by M. Narasimha Rao under the banner of Raasi Movies. Bhanupriya and Harish are playing key roles in the movie. Director says, A woman knows that her son is mentally retarded. Still, she selects a beautiful girl and gets her married to him. Then she starts worrying that she spoiled the life of an innocent girl for the sake of her mentally-challenged son. What happens next is the subject. Generally, all films conclude with the marriage or union of the hero and heroine. But this film begins with the marriage. The film has several elements that would attract the audiences in general and women in particular. Sentiment will have preference. We are happy as the audio of our film is getting positive response from the audiences. Sunil, Chandramohan, Mallikarjuna Rao, M.S. Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Kallu Krishna Rao, Sana, Jayalakshmi and others are in the cast. Story is by Bhagyaraj, art is by K.V. Subba Rao, editing is by Gauthamraju, music is by Kamalakar and Jayasri and cinematography is by D. Prasad Babu. The producer is making efforts to release the film on October 12.
