50 days after its release, Shekar Kammula film Happy Days is still making waves. The 50 days function of the movie was held in Dallas recently. Released on September 28, it has been running three shows every day at Dallas successfully . Shekar Kammula, Sandesh and Sonia were present on the occasion. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a destructive pandemic that has taken the lives of over 25 million people since 1981, when it was first identified. Despite improved diagnosis and medical care, according to the statistics of UNAIDS and the WHO, the total number of people living with HIV is increasing. The infection levels differ in different countries. World AIDS Day is observed each year to increase public awareness about the disease and also educate people about ways to keep them protected from it. The concept of World AIDS Day originated at the 1988 World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programmes for AIDS Prevention. Annually, specific themes are chosen, based on which the campaign is carried out. This years theme is Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise - Leadership. Indias campaign manager of United Nations HIV/AIDS programme is actor Kamal Haasan. His Ini Oru Vidhi Seivom campaign was launched on Thursday. Shooting of Navataram, directed by D. Rajesh, presented by Nandita and produced by N.J. Ratnavat under the banner of Devi Movies with Aakash, R.B. Ram, Suhasini and Shreshta in the lead, was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad recently. Popular producer C. Kalyan gave the clap and IPS officer Krishna Prasad switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of Sagar. Speaking on the occasion, the director says, The film has love and emotion in its backdrop. It also deals with the craze of overseas jobs and the migration of youth to other countries. We are making the film as a complete entertainer. We will finish the film in four schedules. Producer Ratnavat says, We are basically in real estate business and entered the film industry to introduce my brother R.B. Ram as hero. The film is dealing with several contemporary issues. Especially the characters played by Aakash and Ram would attract the youth. There is a good message for youth in the film. Suhasini says, I am playing the role of Mahalakshmi and have a lot of scope to perform. Chandramohan, Chalapati Rao, Brahmanandam, Mallikarjuna Rao, Vizag Prasad, Balaji, Sivareddy, Delhi Rajeswari, Sivaparvathi, and others are in the cast. Music is by Nariraj, camera is by K. Jagadish, dialogues are by Gurucharan, story, screenplay and direction are by D. Rajesh.

Director K.S. Nageswara Rao has directed Srihari earlier and the two have created several successful films like Police, Deva and Sambayya. Again, the hit combo has joined hands for a film being produced by Tadivaka Ramesh Naidu under the banner of Image Films. Srihari plays the role of a college bus driver in this movie for which shooting was formally launched at Ramanaidu Cine Village at Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, on November 26. Bellamkonda Suresh gave the clap and Tadivaka Subba Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on hero Srihari under the honorary direction of Ajay Naidu. Srihari says, I was waiting for a good subject to work with K.S. Nageswara Rao and hence the delay. This film has lots of scope for action and the director is making efforts to portray my character in a different and novel angle. The film also has comedy, sentiment and suspense. Producer Ramesh Naidu says, After watching the successful combo of Srihari and Nageswara Rao, I thought of making a film again with this victory pair. Another young hero is also working in this movie. We will start regular shooting very soon. We are also conveying a useful message for youth though our movie. Fight master Vijay says, As the film has good action backdrop, I will do my best to compose good action scenes for the flick. Jayant launches Love 4 Ever

The shooting of a film, Love 4 Ever, directed and produced by Jayant C. Paranjee under the banner of A Laughing Waters Entertainment, introducing Ranadeep and Shaleena in the lead, was launched at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad on November 26. Venkatesh gave the clap and Prabhas switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of Dr. D. Rama Naidu. Talking on the occasion, director-cum-producer Jayant said, After a gap of two long years, I am directing this movie. Both the hero and heroine are novices. While Ranadeep belongs to Delhi, heroine Shaleena is my friends daughter. She did an ad campaign directed by me. She was then two years old. Now she is studying plus two. The story of the film is a universal subject. So we are making the film as a bilingual in Telugu and Hindi. Artistes knowing both languages will play roles. We are sure that the film will definitely win the hearts of audiences. Co-producer Sumanth Parjani said, We will start the regular shooting from the third week of December. Shooting would be completed in two schedules, one in Hyderabad and the other in New Zealand. There are totally five songs. Ranadeep said, Camera is not new to me as I worked in some commercials. However, this is my first feature film. The leading lady Shaleena also echoed the same sentiments. Anwita Dutt, who scripted story and screenplay for the movie, said, This is a youthful love story. Music of the film is by Ram Sampath, who scored music for the Hindi film Khaki. Cameraman Raja Madi makes his debut in Telugu with this film. He has done several films in Tamil. Dialogue writer T. Rajasimha said, The girl believes "Life is beautiful", while the boy thinks "Life is irritating." However, both have same feelings regarding love. It is the youthful love story between the boy and the girl. Art director Krishna Maya said, I had much work satisfaction while working for Jayants films.And I am looking forward to this film as well. S.V.K. presents the flick.

Manchu Kurise Velalo released

Ramanamurthy under the banner of Lalithasri Combines, Manchu Kurise Velalo, with Yuvaraj, Paayal and Purnitha in the lead, has hit screens on November 29th. The film, shot in Kodaikanal, is based on the lives of three students. Director says, It is a triangular love story. We are confident that the film would definitely attract the youth."
