| Simran's dance for special song in Vijayadashami Posted: Choreography of a song for Vijayadashami, directed by V. Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao under the banner of Sai Sarwajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram and Vedika in the lead is in progress. Political parties generally rope in film stars for campaigns during elections unmindful of whether they would get the votes. Why? Because the presence of stars will ensure that people would throng in large numbers for the public meetings to have a glimpse of their favourite stars. Such real-life incidents could be watched in this film. Saikumar is playing a politician in this movie and he brings in film star Simran for his election campaign. A dance programme of the heroine would be arranged on the occasion and the hero dances with her in that sequence. A song Cine Taara Vachindoy Swagataalu Cheppandoy is being canned under the choreography of Ashokraj. Director Samudra says, We will wrap up the shooting part of the film with the canning of this song. The producer is making efforts to release the film on September 21. |
| Kodithe Kottaliraa with gully cricket in the backdrop Posted: The successful Tamil film Chennai 600 028, which was dubbed into Telugu as Kodithe Kottaliraa by Almon Raju under the banner of Peoples Cine Entertainment was released on September 7th. Producer Almon Raju says, The film was produced by S.P.B. Charan with his father, popular playback singer S.P. Balasubramanium, as presenter. Venkat Prabhu directed the movie with all new faces and the story and movement would be the highlight of the film, which runs with gully cricket in its backdrop. Though the cricket match is between two teams, there is no scope for any kind of fight. The director gave good preference to entertainment, merged a beautiful love track and made the film enjoyable for the youth. Yuvan Shankar Raja gave melodious tunes to all the songs. There is a very good response to the Telugu audio which was released into the market recently. Our film had bagged clean U certificate from the Censor Board. P. Bhuvana Reddy and Kora Srikanth are the co-producers. |
| Song being shot for Raja-Sneha starrer Posted: After a long gap, Giribabu is wielding the megaphone for a film produced by himself called Nee Sukhame Nay Koruthunna with Raja and Sneha in the lead. Presently, the film is canning some songs in and around Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, Giribabu says, The film has cricket in its backdrop but basically, it is a love story. The hero shows more interest in cricket. Will the heroine cooperate with him in this regard or not is a suspense. The scenes that occur between the hero and heroine would be quite interesting. We have so far shot two duets. The next schedule is planned at our native place Ravinuthala. Nee Sukhame Nay Kuruthunna (I wish your well-being) is also a suspense. Chandramohan, Ranganath, Brahmanandam, Ali, M.S. Narayana, Raghubabu and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Gowri Shankar, cinematography is by Suresh, music is by Madhavapeddi Suresh, while Chappidi Hanumantha Rao is the presenter. |
| Jagapati Babu's new film Swagatham Posted: The latest film of Jagapati Babu is titled Swagatham. Directed by Dasarath and produced by Aditya Ram under the banner of Adityaram Movies with Jagapati Babu, Bhoomika and Anushka in the lead, the film has completed 40 per cent of the shooting so far. Producer Adityaram says, The word Swagatham denotes success. Our film would reflect the human relations, affections, intimacy between a wife and a husband. Being the 75th film for our hero Jagapati Babu, it would be a definite hit. All the three lead characters would have their own speciality and identity. Jagapati Babu says, The film is coming out effectively and it would definitely attract all classes of audiences. Moreover, all of us liked the title. Director Dasarath says, We always welcome a good job. Likewise, our hero welcomes the heroines into his life. How and why is the basic theme of the movie, which is being moulded in an interesting way. I am sure that the film would remain a milestone in Jagapati Babus career. Project co-ordinator Bhagiratha says, We have completed the shooting here and a 25-day shoot in the US remains to be completed. Three more songs would also be choreographed there. Saratbabu, Asha Saini, Raja Ravindra, Brahmanandam, Sunil, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Krishna Bhagawan, Prabhakar, Mallikarjuna Rao, Benarjee, Raghubabu, Venumadhav, Melkote and others are in the cast. | Posted: Another member from the illustrious Akkineni family is making his bow before the camera. Sushant, nephew of Nagarjuna, is making his debut in a film which is yet to be named. The film will commence with a muhurat at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Ravi Kiran, who has worked as assistant to many directors, will direct this film. Tamanna is the heroine. She made her debut with Sree, and she has also acted in Happy Days. |

But her claim to fame was being cast in Sivaji with Superstar Rajinikanth. Even before the release of the film, Shriya became the talk of South Indian Cinema.
