Will Super Star grace Madame Tussaud’s?

We sure hope he does! Rajini’s fan base is spread all around the world – he has surpassed the status of an actor to become a living legend worshipped by thousands! His fans have now appealed to the authorities at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum in London to place his life-size wax replica in the collection. Every one who’s any one of global appeal has their wax look-alike at the museum, including every leading Hollywood star and Pop celebrity. Madame Tussaud’s has such a reputation, that celebs consider it a privilege to have their wax statue on display there. The stars and the visitors are struck by the amazing likeness of these statues to the real people – it is almost eerie! Indian movie stars have also found their way there starting with Ash Rai, the Big B and SRK. Hurt that their Boss has not yet been considered, Rajini fans have themselves approached the museum officials. And now, Madame Tussaud’s management has struck a deal with them. An online signature petition is underway, requesting fans of the South India Superstar to vote for installation of their hero’s wax statue to be installed at Madame Tussaud’s. If there is an adequate response to this petition, the museum authorities will install his mannequin on display. Bhayya to hit screens in October

The Tamil film Malaikottai, directed by G. Boopathi Pandian and produced by Vikram Krishna under the banner of J.K. Film Corporation with Vishal and Priyamani in the lead, is being dubbed into Telugu as Bhayya. Producer Vikram Krishna says, We are planning to release the film in October. It is a never-before character for Vishal. The first half is devoted to comedy while the second half is full of action. There are several elements that would also attract Telugu audiences. The film would enhance the image of Vishal and Manisharmas music would be another highlight. There are five action scenes in the movie which would definitely attract the mass audiences. Devaraj, Ajay, Asish Vidyarthi, Urvasi are in the lead cast. Dialogues are by Shashank Vennelakanti, lyrics are by Veturi, Vennelakanti and Sahiti, editing is by Sashikumar, while direction is by Bhupati Pandyan.

Inspired films in the pipeline

Many of Vijay’s [Tamil] recent films and others’ films too have been remakes of Tollywood chartbusters. Now the tables have turned. Two of Vijay starrers have inspired two Telugu flicks – one has already hit the screens and one is in the offing. Vijay’s Sivakasi which made was weel-received by the Tamil audience, was recently remade in Telugu. The movie, titled Vijayadasami, starred Nandamuri Kalyanram and Vedhika. And now there’s news that the tamil star’s next film Azhagiya Thamizh Magan is also to be made in Telugu; this time, the lead is to be Mahesh Babu. Sources say that Mahesh agreed to do the film in Telugu after hearing a one-line summary of the film! Tilak first copy ready

The hit Tamil film Thalaimagan is being dubbed into Telugu as Tilak and the first copy is ready. Sarathkumar is the hero and Nayantara is the heroine. Sarathkumar plays a journalist in the film. He fights for the rights of the poor farmers in light of the acquisition of agricultural land by the government in the name of promoting SEZs. Mumaith Khan has done a special item song, which will be one of the highlights of the film.

Simran sizzles in Tollywood

Simran has been trying to get her second round going in Kollywood. She’s been working on her weight, has returned to her trim self but has not yet received any good offers here. So what? Her charm seems to be working wonders in Tollywood. Simran is starring in director Y.V.S. Choudhary’s Okka Magadu in an offbeat role opposite Balakrishna. And it’s not just this one film, she is also playing the lead in a film titled John Appa Rao 40+ with well known comedian Krishna Bhagawan. This movie is being directed by Kuchipudi Venkat, who has planned to shoot all the songs in Australia and New Zealand.
